Crocked Manchester United winger Anthony Martial has tweeted his support for team-mate Memphis Depay after the Dutchman scored the opener against Watford this afternoon.
Depay was thrust into action this afternoon following a spate of injuries having been dropped in favour of Jesse Lingard in recent weeks. The 21-year-old was a £31 million arrival in the summer from PSV Eindhoven but managed just one goal in his first eight Premier League appearances and was subsequently relegated to the bench.
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal admitted he wanted to see more from the talented youngster - and he certainly gave his manager that as he broke the deadlock against the Hornets.
Depay superbly slotted home after 11 minutes with a cushioned finish from a superb cross as the Red Devils went in search of the win that will take them, temporarily at least, to the top of the table.
Martial seemed just as please for his team-mate to get on the scoresheet - tweeting him this message moments after he scored:
Martial was forced to miss the match after limping out of France's 2-0 friendly defeat against England at Wembley in mid-week.
The 19-year-old was seen leaving the stadium on crutches, although it's not been confirmed how long he will miss just yet. Manchester United's injury woes got even worse as Ander Herrera was forced to limp off before half-time against Watford. He was replaced by Marcos Rojo.
