Adnan Januazaj was forced to delete a post off his Twitter account after making himself look a little bit silly.

The on-loan Manchester United winger took to social media to wish Marouane Fellaini a happy birthday but soon pulled his tweet after his mistake was pointed out.

The Red Devils youngster sent a message to his Belgian compatriot on his special day but appeared to get his words muddled up, and that was not missed by one eagle-eyed follower.

The Borussia Dortmund loanee tweeted: Happy birthday to my brother from another brother 😜🎉 you know @Fellaini. Before deleting the post and resending with the correct phrase.

The 20-year-old has been limited to six Bundesliga appearances for BVB since making the temporary switch to the Westfalenstadion.

But he was able to make an impact on Friday night as he assisted Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang's goal. Although, Dortmund were already 3-0 down to Hamburg.

With the Red Devils experiencing something of a mini injury crisis at this vital stage of the season, they could have used someone like Januzaj.

However, it seems they are not missing him as they kept up their impressive form with a 2-1 win over Watford on Saturday.

With Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial injured, Van Gaal was forced to start Memphis Depay upfront with teenagers Andreas Pereira, Sean Goss and Marcus Rashford making the bench.

With three unproven youngsters currently making the bench at United, there is definitely a case that Januzaj could have done a job for the Red Devils. However, he will have to continue plugging away in Germany.
