Thomas von Heesen has moved to end speculation about his immediate future by insisting he intends to see out his contract as head coach of Arminia Bielefeld.

Rumours have linked the popular Von Heesen, who has led the Bundesliga minnows to sixth place, to big-name teams such as struggling Hamburg or under-performing Borussia Dortmund. But after making contradictory remarks about his future in recent weeks, Von Heesen revealed on Thursday he will be back in Bielefeld when the winter training camp opens on January 3.

"I will be back and I plan to fulfil my contract," he told PA Sport.
