Arsenal considering replacing Coquelin with Lars Bender or William Carvalho

Published 2 Comments

With Francis Coquelin expected to be out injured for as long as three months it’s no wonder that the rumour-mill is suggesting Arsenal could dip into the market for a replacement. Step forward usual suspects William Carvalho and Lars Bender, both of whom Arsene Wenger supposedly sees as ideal replacements for the Frenchman. Obviously prying either of those two from their respective clubs will prove a problem, but Wenger certainly needs cover to protect his defence. Moving forward, Wenger has vowed to take the Europa League seriously if Arsenal are eliminated from the Champions League tonight. The Gunners could be knocked out if they lose to Dinamo Zagreb or other results go against them, but they won’t they might not be saying goodbye to European football for the season altogether.
