Manchester United defender Luke Shaw may or may not be in attendance as the Red Devils welcome PSV to Old Trafford this evening, but two flags wishing him a speedy recovery will be hung in the away section throughout proceedings.

The England international suffered a double fracture of his right leg during United's trip to the Netherlands back in September.

It's far from certain as to whether Shaw will play again this season following Hector Moreno's tough challenge, but the PSV faithful will certainly make their feelings clear this evening.

As reported by Manchester United's official site, PSV's official fan club will display their message of support for Shaw inside the Theatre of Dreams.

In fact, the club's official site suggests that PSV fans are reportedly attempting to deliver a flag to the former Southampton ace.

Shaw update

In yesterday's press conference, Red Devils chief Louis van Gaal revealed that Shaw will undergo further scans on Friday.

The talented youngster has been pictured stepping up his recovery in recent weeks, but he will be well aware that he still has some way to go before returning to the pitch.

Shaw must be handled correctly over the coming months. With Euro 2016 on the horizon, the defender may well have his sights set on a return to action before the end of the season, but the United hierarchy mustn't allow him to rush through his rehabilitation.

At just 20-years-old, Shaw has a huge career ahead of him, so he'd be foolish to take any risks over the coming months.
