Chelsea fans, hello and welcome.
With European action very much on the agenda this week there’s plenty for us to get through, so we won’t waste time with long and drawn out introductions.
You should all know the score by now. Watch the video above for the latest headlines or read on below if added fluff is what tickles your fancy. Enjoy.
Costa and Mourinho bust-up
Chelsea were back to their scintillating best during a 4-0 Champions League rout of Maccabi Tel Aviv last night, but the game wasn’t without it’s unsightly incidents.
One in particular that got Blues fans talking was the apparent bust-up Diego Costa had with Jose Mourinho, with the Portuguese coach seemingly unhappy with his striker in the first-half.
Don’t worry though, Mourinho has since confirmed it was a heat of the moment thing. In his words, ‘kisses and cuddles’ were had in the dressing room at halftime.
"With Diego I wanted him to do a certain movement that he didn’t and I was disappointed and reacted and he reacted too, but at half-time in the dressing room there were a few kisses and cuddles,” Mourinho explained, after the match.
Elsewhere, captain John Terry doesn’t look like he’ll be fit for the weekend fixture against Tottenham Hotspure as he damaged his ankle against Tel Aviv.
The centre-back sustained the problem during the game, on what Mourinho described as a ‘dangerous’ pitch, and is, therefore, unlikely to feature at White Hart Lane this Sunday.
Holland turns down Fulham job?
Last but not least, Chelsea coach Steve Holland has supposedly turned down the chance to take over as manager of Fulham, or so say reports.
According to the Daily Mirror, Holland was approached by the Craven Cottage outfit but told them he was more content to remain under Mourinho at Stamford Bridge for the time being.
That follows Fulham’s decision to sack Kit Symons from his role as manager after leaving the club in 12th place in the Championship.
