Paul Pogba is widely regarded as one of the world’s most talented central midfielders and it surely won’t be too much longer before he cements his status as the very best.

The Juventus star, who doesn’t turn 23 until March, pulled off a fabulous no-look back-heeled pass against Manchester City in the Champions League tonight. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Pogba showed great strength to hold off two City defenders before flicking a pass through to Paulo Dybala, who perhaps should have scored.

Manchester City are one of the top European clubs who have been linked with Pogba over the past 12 months.

However, the Citizens will need to fend off stiff competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea if they are to secure his services if - or rather, when - he leaves Juventus in the near future.

United made a huge mistake

Every time they watch the world-class midfielder play, Manchester United officials must rue the fact they failed to tie him down to a long-term contract back in 2012.

Pogba spent three years with the Red Devils but decided to leave the club after failing to get the first-team opportunities he felt he deserved.

United fans would love to see Pogba back at Old Trafford, but a move to one of the big Spanish clubs seems the most likely outcome.

Regardless of where he ends up, though, Pogba looks destined to become one of the best midfielders of his generation.
