Dudley Boyz emphasize importance of having The Rock at WrestleMania 32

Press Conference To Announce A Major International Event At MetLife Stadium

The Dudley Boyz's recent return to the WWE may not have gone quite as well as they'd hoped, but the tag team duo have today made it clear that the WWE must bring back one fellow veteran for WrestleMania 32 if the show is to succeed.

The WWE are hoping that next April's show at Dallas' AT&T Stadium will break attendence records but, with a host of injuries to contend with, the star quality for the event could be lacking.

With that in mind, Bubba And Devon have today emphasized the need for The Rock to be a part of 'Mania 32 next April.

"If you’re going to try and put 100,000 people into the AT&T Stadium and have the biggest Wrestlemania of all time, to me that’s an all hands on deck show. Rocky, [Steve] Austin — whoever you can possibly get to be there to out 100,00 people in there,” they told talkSPORT.

“You have Rocky on the show, and that means more people want to buy the show, more people want to come and see the show — bigger payoffs for everybody."

The Rock's presence at WrestleMania 32 would certainly boost ticket sales. However, as we noted earlier this month, the chances of the eight-time champion being able to wrestle (or even appear) at the event are extremely slim due to movie commitments.

Star quality

That doesn't make The Dudley Boyz's point any less valid. With Seth Rollins and Randy Orton already likely out of the event through injury, and Stone Cold having ruled himself out, the WWE need some big names to help sell the event.

Vince McMahon knows this as well as anyone. He knows that getting The Rock onto the match card would be a big step to achieving his dreams of a record-breaking night.

Unfortuantely, whilst everyone associated with the WWE Universe wants The Rock in on the 'Mania 32 action, the legendary star looks set to leave a lot of people disappointed - the Dudley Boyz included.
