Jurgen Klopp confirms he wants a more 'robust' Daniel Sturridge for Liverpool

Aside from that one season alongside Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge’s Liverpool career can largely be defined by his numerous injury problems. Jurgen Klopp, to his credit, has recognised this quickly, confirming to the press that he is looking to toughen up the England international. Sturridge featured in a match-day squad for Klopp for the first time this past weekend, and the German said he wanted to create situations where his forward was more robust. Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard has opened up on making UEFA’s all-time XI and, naturally, he’s delighted. The former Liverpool captain featured in a three-man midfield alongside Xavi and Andres Iniesta.
