Leo Messi may be starting to think football is just too easy in its current format. The Barcelona star is the odds-on favourite to win a fifth Ballon d'Or in January and will almost certainly hold a number of impressive goal scoring records for many years – make that decades – to come.

So it is only natural that Messi attempts to make things harder for himself by attempting outrageous challenges that only the best PR team can come up with. His latest is an absolute doozy.

The Argentinian international has performed his latest stunt on his own, placing a camera in what looks to be the centre circle before tracking all the way back to the goal line. I know what you're thinking and, yes, he nails it right on the lens with a football on his first try.

But while fun and games are always appreciated, Messi must now focus on getting himself back to full fitness following a two-month lay-off with a notable knee ligament injury.

The 28-year-old made a cameo appearance in Barcelona's 4-0 win over Real Madrid at the weekend and played as if he had never been away against AS Roma, scoring two and assisting in a 6-0 demolition.

This video is not the first time Messi has attempted to use his talent to accomplish almost impossible tasks. There have been some pretty great moments – mainly provided by crazy Japanese game shows – that have helped us see Messi's outrageous talent in different ways. Those wonder goals get boring after a while anyway.
