Football News

A new week, a new discussion and controversy surrounding the Washington Redskins and their continued choice of the name.

The Redskins have created a social media storm after tweeting out what was a probably ill-advised tweet wishing a happy Thanksgiving to their fans on Twitter earlier today.

It went down exactly as everyone thought it would, with an absolutely ferocious backlash that sees even more negative press for a team that is drowning in Bad PR.

Which is why the tweet from the Redskins - which many consider to be an offensive and racist name - has drawn particular ire and comes across as being incredibly tone-deaf.

The reaction to the tweet has been incredible. We'll give you a glimpse of the hell-hole that must be the Redskins mentions right now...

And then there was those who just wanted the Redskins to terminate their Twitter use altogether...

The Redskins tweet basically this same message out every year, and it always ends badly. See you in 2016 folks!
