Tony Romo exits Thanksgiving game with another shoulder injury

Carolina Panthers v Dallas Cowboys

Thanksgiving 2015 brought some high scoring but one sided games where we saw the Detroit Lions run rampant over the Philadelphia Eagles and the Carolina Panthers showed their dominance over the Dallas Cowboys.

The now 11-0 Panthers went to AT&T Stadium and put in a great defensive performance to start the game on what was a bad start for Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo as the Cowboys lost -.

Tony no-no

The Panthers started big in Dallas despite their offense not moving the chains with the same amount of ease as they did against the Washington Redskins last week.

Romo threw three interceptions before half-time - two of which were returned for touchdowns.

While the Cowboys found themselves down 30-6 by the end of third quarter having given up two pick sixes, the fans must have thought it couldn't get any worse.

That was until newly returned quarterback Tony Romo took a hard hit and didn't get back up.

Romo went down holding the same shoulder he injured in week two which resulted in him missing the next seven games.

Romo was forced to leave the game with the injury and was taken to the locker room for an x-ray on his troubled shoulder.

When Romo went down, his back-up Matt Cassel came in and marched the Cowboys down the field for their first touchdown of the game with just 6:00 left.

Cassel connected with wide receiver Cole Beasley for the two yard touchdown which did little more than make the scoreline less embarrassing for Dallas.

No Romo, no hope?

It looks likely that Romo may be out for the rest of the season following his second shoulder injury of the year and the Cowboys now have to wonder what hope they can have left for the season.

Dallas were 0-7 without Romo this season and if he is out for the remainder of the season, it is hard to see where any possible win could come from.

With road trips to the Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills, it is hard to see the Cowboys improving on their current three wins this season.
