Liverpool fans, happy Friday!
The end of the week cometh and in true GMS fashion we’re celebrating in the only way we know how. That’s right, by feeding you the biggest news steadily making its way down the grapevine.
If you’re not laughing at the fact we have nothing better to do then either watch the video above or tackle the text below. It should be to your liking, let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.
Mignolet on his mistake
We can all have a nervous laugh at Simon Mignolet since his mistake didn’t end up costing Liverpool dearly against Bordeaux, but the man himself is determined to put the record straight.
The Belgian, who allowed his opponents to score from an indirect free-kick after holding onto the ball for too long, said he wasn’t aware of how long he had held it.
"Unfortunately I waited just a bit too long and that can always happen," Mignolet said.
In total Mignolet had the ball in his hands for over 20 seconds - luckily for him Christian Benteke and James Milner spared his blushes.
Twitter, naturally, didn't forget:
Gerrard disappointed with Alli failure
Moving on, Steven Gerrard has admitted he was disappointed that Liverpool didn’t sign Dele Alli before he was snapped up by Tottenham.
Here he is speaking to BT Sport:
Rumour has it that the fabled transfer committee at Anfield told Brendan Rodgers ‘no’ when he proposed a deal. The Northern Irishman is no longer in charge, of course, but that committee is still presumably in place.
Grobbelaar expects Klopp business
Lastly, back to Mignolet, former Liverpool stopper Bruce Grobbelaar has insisted that Jurgen Klopp will look to replace the goalkeeper in the January transfer window.
Grobbelaar admitted he had always been a critic of the Belgium international and said he expected Klopp to dip into the market at the next available opportunity for someone who commands the area better than Mignolet does.
Of course, Grobbelaar never made a mistake in is life... right?
He also tipped that candidate to come from Germany.
