Jos Buttler was set to captain England for the first time as the tourists rested Eoin Morgan for the second Twenty20 international against Pakistan.

Buttler was returning for England at the Dubai International Stadium, after being rested himself for their opening win here on Thursday.

Also back were David Willey, Chris Woakes and Joe Root in place of Chris Jordan, Reece Topley and Moeen Ali .

Buttler won the toss and chose to bat first.

Pakistan, needing to win the last two matches to avoid a second successive series defeat after their one-day interntional setback, made two changes - Ahmed Shehzad and Shoaib Malik both fit again, in place of Mohammad Rizwan and Imran Khan.
