Neymar hits the target for advert with rabona shot

Neymar has arguably been the most outstanding player anywhere in Europe this season and it would be a travesty if the Barcelona superstar doesn’t make the podium for the 2015 Ballon d’Or in January.

Last season the Brazilian played an instrumental role in Barcelona securing another historic treble, scoring in the finals of both the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League while also netting a total of 39 goals from 51 appearances. This season, meanwhile, the 23-year-old has scored 14 goals in 16 matches - including one in last week’s 4-0 Clasico win over Real Madrid.

But perhaps his most impressive achievement this season - we jest, of course - is this magnificent rabona effort while filming a commercial for Panasonic. Neymar’s father uploaded the footage to Instagram and you can view it by scrolling down this page.

Neymar aimed for the ‘100’ target in the top left-hand corner of the goal and sent the ball flying through the hole.

A standard shot would have been impressive enough, but the fact he did it with a rabona makes this video so much more incredible. Neymar truly is a master of his trade.

Neymar could have been a freestyler

A video released by the popular F2 Freestylers last month showed that Neymar could probably have cut it as a freestyler had his career as a professional footballer not worked out.

Neymar may have surpassed Ronaldo

But Neymar has been a revelation since arriving at the Camp Nou from Santos in 2013 and some believe the South American has now surpassed Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo as the world’s second-best player behind Lionel Messi.

Is Neymar now better than Cristiano Ronaldo? Have your say by leaving a comment in the box below!
