Will he, won't he? That is the question constantly surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo and a potential return to Manchester United

Well, if the latest report by the Sunday Mirror is to be believed, he certainly will be heading back to Old Trafford.

The Real Madrid superstar has been linked with a return to the Red Devils or a lucrative move to Paris Saint-Germain when he finally decides to depart the Bernabeu.

The report believes Ronaldo is excited by the prospect of pulling on a Manchester United shirt once again and will reject advances from PSG - even if they offer him an eye-watering £500,000-a-week.

The Portuguese superstar knows a move to Paris will do nothing for his reputation given the lack of competition in Ligue 1, and Ronaldo's love for United is seen as a deciding factor.

The summer will be Real Madrid's last chance to recoup the vast majority of the £80 million they coughed up for his signature six-and-a-half years ago.

PSG will not give up in their pursuit of the three-time Ballon d'Or winner and, at the end of the day, money still talks.

However, Manchester United are no pushovers and have the financial capabilities to complete a deal for Ronaldo.

Ed Woodward, United's executive vice-chairman, has a good relationship with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes and knows the commercial possibilities would be endless.

United are also interested in Gareth Bale, but it is believed they will go all-out in their pursuit of Ronaldo instead of the Welsh superstar.
