Things aren't getting any better for Manchester United outcast Victor Valdes. The Spanish goalkeeper, who hasn't featured for the club since the final game of last season, has been well and truly left out of just about everything at Old Trafford.

Last night, as United stars came together to support UNICEF, Valdes was once again omitted from proceedings.

And it's safe to say that his wife was not very happy with the club. In fact, while taking to Instagram to post a picture of members of the Manchester United squad at the event, Yolanda Cardona stated that leaving Valdes out of the occasion was the last thing she expected from the club.

Her caption read: "Do not invite to my husband @vicvaldes1 to be part of the #united4unicef , it's the last thing you don't expect from one of the biggest club as @manchesterunited "A Charity event, it's always a Charity event."

Valdes, of course, fell out with United boss Louis van Gaal after the Dutchman revealed that the shot-stopper previously refused to play for the club's Under-21 side.

Leaving Old Trafford

One thing is for sure, there appears to be no way back for the former Barcelona goalkeeper in Manchester. Ahead of the opening of the January transfer window, the veteran must now focus on finding himself a new team as he goes in search of getting his career back on track.

One of the most established and well-respected 'keepers in world football, Valdes should be able to find a new team without too many problems.

It has been a nightmare period for the Spaniard, but all is not lost as he enters the final stages of his career.
