It's not easy being the Champ, as Sheamus found out on Sunday night during a WWE house show.

According to correspondents at the Live Event in Huntington, West Virginia, a fan threw a bottle at the Celtic Warriors’ head following his match with Roman Reigns.

The fan was taken away by security, as you could probably have guessed, and arrested.

It seems that either Kayfabe is still well and truly alive in Huntington in the 21st century, or a drunken idiot made an even greater fool of himself and hopefully he spent the night behind bars.

Sean Ferguson of ProWrestling.net was at the event and wrote about the incident.

"All the fun was ruined in my section when some idiot decided to throw a empty bottle and hit Sheamus in the head at the end of the match," Ferguson said. "It wasn't funny, no one laughed or thought it was cool, and the fan was caught and was detained."

"The thing I will say is we all pay hard earned money to watch these athletes perform for us. That ticket gives each of us the right to cheer or boo and say what we want in good taste, so don't be the person that does something stupid such as throwing something at these guys."

This isn't the first case of WWE fans overstepping their boundaries in 2015. All three former members of the Shield - Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins - have all been at the center of such incidents, with Reigns having a replica Money in the Bank briefcase thrown at his head.
