Piers Morgan claim

He’s the Arsenal fan everyone loves to hate - Piers Morgan doesn’t really help himself, does he?

In any case, his latest remarks are sure to have evoked the ire of the Gunners faithful, having predicted that Arsenal won’t even finish inside the top four.

Yes, that’s right, despite the fact Arsene Wenger has masterminded a good start to the season, Morgan hit out at the decision to play Alexis Sanchez at the weekend.

The Chile international suffered an injury in the clash with Norwich and Morgan - ever the optimist - tweeted to confirm his belief that Champions League football might not be on the cards next year.

We’re not sure we agree.

It would appear that fans don't, either:

Cazorla injury update

Moving on, Santi Cazorla will join Sanchez on the injury list for the crucial clash against Olympiacos next week.

The Spaniard is suffering from a knee problem, with reports saying he will be ruled out of the must-win fixture.

Twitter, obviously, has reacted:

Szczesny goes up in smoke

Bringing up the rear, on-loan Arsenal man Wojciech Szczesny has sparked controversy again regarding cigarettes - this time while on loan with AS Roma.

Fans might remember that the Polish stopper was admonished by Wenger after supposedly having been caught chuffing away in the showers after a loss to Southampton.

It would appear that he hasn’t learned his lesson.
