Oxford interest

Few Arsenal fans will have forgotten the performance West Ham youngster Reece Oxford put in against them on the opening day of the season, and it appears that Arsene Wenger hasn’t either.

The Daily Mirror say today that the Gunners are considering making a bid for him next summer, with the midfielder set to cost close to £8million.

Obviously it’s early stages at the moment, but it’s believed Arsenal want to test the waters to see if West Ham are at all open to the idea.

Here's a reminder of what he can do:

Wenger on Sanchez injury

Moving on, Arsene Wenger has said he has no problem if critics want to blame him for the injury sustained by Alexis Sanchez.

The Frenchman has got most of the flack after Sanchez limped off against Norwich - it’s yet unclear exactly how long he’ll be out for.

Carvalho back on the menu

Lastly, back to the transfer rumour-mill, it’s been claimed that the Gunners are keeping tabs on Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.

It’s a story Arsenal fans hear every time a transfer window approaches, and no, there’s not much separating this batch of speculation to a thousand that precede it, but the Telegraph claim interest is there all the same.
