Real Madrid are keen to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, whose agent was at the Bernabeu on Saturday to watch the 4-1 win over Getafe.
This is according to Guillem Balague who writes in AS that the only way Lewandowski’s agent, Cezary Kucharski, could have achieved access to the box he was sitting in at the Bernabeu was through personal invitation.
It’s claimed Real Madrid are now planning “Operation Lewandowski” - a concerted effort to lure the in-form Poland international to the Spanish capital. And it’s understood Lewandowski looks upon a move to Madrid favourably.

Balague, though, admits it won’t be easy for Real Madrid to sign the 27-year-old, who has scored 20 goals in 22 appearances this season - five of which came in nine remarkable minutes against Wolfsburg in September - and whose contract doesn’t expire until 2019.
Bayern want to extend the striker’s current deal, with the intention of making him the highest-paid player at the Allianz Arena, although Kucharski has rejected the Bundesliga champions’ opening offer.
Lewandowski could win Ballon d'Or at Real Madrid
In order for the transfer to Real Madrid to happen, Lewandowski may need to force the issue - and there’s a chance that could happen.
It’s understood that Lewandowski regards Real Madrid as a club where he can achieve individual goals - such as, potentially, winning the Ballon d’Or - that become more complicated at other clubs.
Lewandowski may have felt a little perturbed after being omitted from the final three for the 2015 Ballon d’Or last week - although it would be difficult to argue that Lionel Messi, Neymar or Cristiano Ronaldo were undeserving of their places on the podium.
There’s little doubt that Lewandowski, who scored four goals in one match against Real Madrid in the Champions League during his time with Borussia Dortmund, would be a magnificent signing for Los Blancos.
And with the futures of Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale all uncertain, Real Madrid might require a striker of Lewandowski’s calibre to provide the firepower upfront next season.
