Liverpool and Chelsea have joined Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham in the battle to sign Charlton Athletic starlet Ademola Lookman - but who is the young forward on the radar of England’s biggest football clubs?

Aged 18, Lookman scored his first professional goal for the Addicks against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday to further enhance his burgeoning reputation.

The talented teenager was watched by scouts from multiple Premier League clubs at the weekend, according to the Mirror, including Chelsea, City, Spurs and Arsenal.

The Gunners have reportedly watched all five of Lookman’s first-team appearances for Charlton, who face a struggle to hold onto the youngster when the transfer window re-opens in the New Year.

The Championship side, who currently sit inside the relegation zone, might be more open to doing business with Manchester City than any other interested club. The Citizens are reportedly keen to sign the player in January before loaning him back to the London outfit until the summer.

Lookman's rapid rise to prominence

Lookman was only picked up by Charlton in 2014 - prior to that he was playing for south London-based side Waterloo FC - but the forward has progressed at a rapid pace at the Valley.

Before breaking into Charlton’s first-team earlier this season, Lookman scored 16 goals for the club’s Under-18 and Under-21 sides.

And here are a few videos that show why the Premier League’s big guns are poised to make their move.
