Arsenal make enquiry ahead of plot to sign Celta Vigo striker Nolito

Arsenal supporters will be well versed in Celta Vigo striker Nolito by now, with reports suggesting it’s only a matter of time before Arsene Wenger gets his hands on him. The Mirror claim today that the Gunners have made an enquiry after his services, and they have something of a boost given that Barcelona - the club he apparently wants to move to - can’t afford to pay £15m in January. So, the long and short is that Arsenal could sign him next month, but Celta are working on a new deal to offer him themselves. On a more simple front, Gunners legend Robert Pires has revealed his hope that his old club will capture Southampton’s Victor Wanyama. Pires described the midfielder as a very good ambassador of Kenyan football and said he wants him to play for Arsenal.
