The legendary Scot has apparently said the Portuguese star was the best professional he ever coached, but highlighted that his diving was a major problem when he first arrived at Old Trafford. Fergie told how it took him a year and a half to cut the false play from Ronaldo’s game, with the forward becoming a better footballer because of it. Meanwhile, both Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes have struck out at United following last night’s defeat. Ferdinand labelled the result against Wolfsburg embarrassing, while Scholes said he wasn’t surprised Van Gaal’s men were eliminated from a shocking group.
