Well, Steven Gerrard has weighed in on the topic and believes Ramsey needs to be played in the middle as when he’s on song he’s the best attacking midfielder in the Premier League.

A fairly big claim given the sort of individuals who reside in that area of the pitch, but one would expect Gerrard to know.

Ferdinand hails Koscielny

Bringing our round-up to a close, Rio Ferdinand has picked Laurent Koscielny as the defender he thinks is the best in the Premier League.

Ferdinand - once recognised as one of the best centre-backs in the world - said that when Koscielny was on form he was the division’s top central defender. He described him as quick and aggressive.
