The WWE have been struggling badly in recent times, with TV ratings taking a real nosedive and fans being left thoroughly underwhelmed with the current WWE product.

With Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, and Daniel Bryan all currently out of action with injury - and all for a serious length of time - it doesn't seem that there's much for WWE fans to look forward to at the moment.

Fortunately for them, Brock Lesnar is making his return after a few months off, and we now know who his first opponent will be upon his comeback.

According to a report from NoDQ, WWE sent out an email today regarding their Network special on December 19th at Ford Arena and it included some details on the return of the Beast.

It seems that Lesnar has his sights set on Alberto Del Rio, with the current United States Champion slated to face the conqueror of The Undertaker's Wrestlemania streak.

It's hard to understand from the wording of the press release, but it seems like Lesnar could actually be challenging for that United States title that Del Rio won from John Cena.

"Three Championship titles will be on the line as Roman Reigns will battle current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus," the release reads. "Brock Lesnar is set to go one on one with United States Champion Alberto Del Rio and current Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens will defend his title against Dean Ambrose."

It will be interesting to see how the WWE plays this one out. They won't want Del Rio to lose after he beat Cena for the title, but they can't have him beating Lesnar. We'll have to wait and see what Vince McMahon has up his sleeves.
