Football News

Chelsea fans, hello and welcome to the last round-up of the week.

There’s been ups and downs, but the show rolls on as we tip-toe closer to the end of the year. As usual, we’ve amassed a series of news pieces and rumours for your entertainment.

Watch the video above or read on below for all the very latest.

Mourinho rumours

We’ll be the first to say The Sun have come up with some crackers in their time, and the latest yarn of speculation is admittedly somewhat difficult to believe.

The paper says that Real Madrid want to take Jose Mourinho back to the Santiago Bernabeu, with Florentino Perez still rating him as the best coach in the world.

The Sun say ‘a top Madrid source’ told them Perez would sign Mourinho in a heartbeat if he could. The Portuguese coach’s time in Spain was marred with bust-ups and fallouts - we’ll let you make your own minds up.

Some fans, it would seem, want Mourinho gone from Stamford Bridge:

United prioritise Stones deal

Moving on, many presume John Stones will join Chelsea when he takes the step up to elite club level, but latest rumours suggest Man United could steal him.

The Red Devils are said to have prioritised the Englishman’s capture - obviously, Roberto Martinez won’t want to let him go.

Chalobah bags fine goal

Finishing us off, it’s over to Italy, where on-loan Blues ace Nathaniel Chalobah bagged a superb goal for Napoli in the Europa League last night.

The 20-year-old certainly gave Mourinho’s scouts some food for thought if they were present during the 5-2 win over Legia Warsaw, netting the strike below:
