Cristiano Ronaldo's friendship with Badr Hari has reportedly been concerning senior figures at Real Madrid.

According to Spanish newspaper SPORT, the three-time Ballon d'Or winner constantly travels to north Africa to visit friends and officials at the Bernabeu were worried it was affecting his performances on the pitch.

Hari has been dubbed Ronaldo's 'cuddle buddy' and there have been numerous photos of the two on social media.

According to Portuguese magazine Flash, via the Mirror, Ronaldo threw an extravagant party in the resort of Agadir, that saw him fork out over £1 million.

An eye-watering amount of money but pocket change for someone with the financial backing of Ronaldo.

The 30-year-old has been criticised for his performances this season having fallen short of his usual goal-per-game average since joining Madrid in 2009.

His overall contribution to the team had been questioned as reports of a move away from the Spanish capital gathered pace.

But Ronaldo has rediscovered his goalscoring form in recent weeks. Four goals in the 8-0 hammering of Swedish side Malmo took his tally to eight in his last four appearances and 21 goals in 20 matches this season.

2015 has been nothing short of a disaster for Real Madrid and Los Blancos will be thankful to see the back of it.

Having entered the year top of La Liga, they failed to claim any silverware in the previous campaign and their start to this season has been full of controversy.

Having been kicked out of the Copa del Rey, they are already four points behind Barcelona in the league.
