Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is interested in bringing Barcelona midfielder Cristian Tello to Anfield, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The report claims that Portuguese outfit Porto have the option to secure the player's services for €9 million, but it appears that they may struggle to pay up in the near future.

Tello, of course, is currently on loan at Porto, playing a key role under the guidance of Julen Lopetegui.

However, it's far from certain as to whether he will sign for the club on a permanent basis, which could yet lead the talented ace to English soil.

If Mundo Deportivo is to be believed, and Klopp really is an admirer of the Barcelona man, then it looks set to be an interesting couple of transfer windows ahead for Liverpool.

As it stands, with the Reds struggling to produce the goods week in, week out in the Premier League, there's room for improvement on Merseyside.

Tello would most definitely fit in with the classy players currently plying their trade at the club. The likes of Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho are all strutting their stuff at Anfield, but it remains to be seen as to whether the club's hierarchy swoop for Tello.

At just €9m, the dynamic Spanish midfielder may well prove a risk worth taking for Klopp, who will be desperate to assemble a strong squad sooner rather than later. The signing of Tello would be an exciting start as Klopp goes about changing the dynamic of his side.
