Most Liverpool fans expressed frustration towards Simon Mignolet after his weekend blunder against West Brom, but Jurgen Klopp is having none of it. The German coach has revealed he told the Belgium international that the mistake wasn’t his fault - in fact, Klopp said he is prepared to blame himself as he wants a goalkeeper who tries to claim the ball. We’re assuming a goalkeeper who tries to claim the ball and actually gets it would be preferred, but what do we know? Elsewhere, Klopp was also in the eye of the fans and media after organising a team salute following the 2-2 draw at Anfield. The gesture sparked bemusement online, after all, it was only a 2-2 draw, but Reds supporters certainly seemed to appreciate it and that’s what counts.
