Anthony Martial reacts to David de Gea mistake

Manchester United produced yet another below par display this past weekend as they were beaten at the hands of Bournemouth.

It started terribly for the Red Devils, too, as Eddie Howe's side took the lead within the opening couple of minutes.

In truth, the opening goal proved a complete disaster for the Red Devils as Junior Stanislas found the back of the net directly from a corner.

Ultimately, goalkeeper David de Gea failed to make contact as the ball swerved over the head of United forward Anthony Martial, who was attempting to keep guard at the back post.

And it's safe to say that Martial wasn't too pleased with the outcome as he directed quite the facial expression towards United's No.1.

As you can see by the below tweets, the United faithful obviously picked up on it.

Other problems

United fans aren't happy right now; following the defeat against Bournemouth, fans took it upon themselves to tweet about a number of different issues.

Here are three things United fans weren't too thrilled about on Saturday evening.

The defence

Even before a ball was kicked at Dean Court, the Old Trafford faithful weren't exactly feeling optimistic. A back-line of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Guillermo Varela, Daley Blind and Paddy McNair isn't exactly inspiring for a club with ambitions to secure the Premier League title this season.

Nick Powell on for Marouane Fellaini

Things didn't get any easier for Van Gaal during the game, of course; as United were heading for defeat, the Red Devils chief opted to take off goalscorer Marouane Fellaini for Nick Powell. The midfielder has had a terrible time of it at Old Trafford, so bringing him on for United's most influential player on the day was an odd decision.

Javier Hernandez hat-trick

To make matters worse, as United were struggling to create opportunities, Mexico international Javier Hernandez was doing the business for Bayer Leverkusen. That's right, the man Van Gaal let go in the summer transfer window, netted a hat-trick in a 5-0 win for the Bundesliga outfit.

Manchester United fans: is Van Gaal the right man to lead your side forward? Have your say below!
