Simon Mignolet is one Liverpool player who completely divides opinion among supporters.
The Belgian stopper has the ability to produce the fantastic but has also been at fault for a number of goals since moving to Anfield from Sunderland in 2013.
But Jurgen Klopp appears to be a fan of the 27-year-old and, having ended speculation of a move for a new goalkeeper earlier in the season, the German manager looks set to hand Mignolet a new deal on Merseyside.

According to the Guardian, the two parties have entered into talks over a new deal and negotiations are set to be complete by the new year.
The statics compare Mignolet with 30 other goalkeepers in the Premier League, who made over 20 appearances per season, and it doesn't make great reading for Liverpool fans.
In terms of clean sheets, Mignolet is high on the list. His 28 in 89 appearances is level with David de Gea, who has played 80 matches. Only Joe Hart, who has played in 76 games, can boast more shutouts than Mignolet.
However, when the Belgian is not keeping a clean sheet, he is conceding a lot of goals.
He has shipped 112 goals since moving to Liverpool; only Brad Guzan, who conceded 138 in 88 matches and Tim Krul, 115 in 74, have conceded more.
And in terms of errors leading to goals, no stopper has made more than Mignolet since the start of the 2013-14 season.
It all boils down to one thing, is Simon Mignolet a top class goalkeeper?
No. He is a good goalkeeper, but not the level Liverpool need to take them to the top.
Just look at David de Gea; where would Manchester United be without him? And the influence Petr Cech is having on Arsenal.
Mignolet is a Premier League standard keeper, but he will not win you the title.
