Football News

If people didn't already know his name before Saturday night's featherweight title fight at UFC 194, Conor McGregor made sure the world knew who he was with his performance against Jose Aldo.

Or at least, 99.9-percent of the world that is. We say this because a video has now surfaced showing the DJ at McGregor's own celebration party making a fairly monumental error.

Brought to our attention by TMZ, the footage shows the Irishman being introduced to a packed out Las Vegas venue not as Conor, but as Colin. Scroll down this article to see the DJ drop the clanger for yourself.

Even before McGregor delivered his 13-second KO victory against Brazilian Jose Aldo, the UFC fighter was never far from the headlines thanks to his trash talking ways.

And, considering what the 27-year-old had just achieved inside the Octagon in front of millions of onlookers, you'd think a man paid to introduce him as he began the celebrations would be a little more clued in.

One job

To be fair to the DJ, it takes a pretty brave man to get wrong the name of one of the most lethal fighters in the world. Had McGregor heard the faux-pas, you can imagine he's not the kind of guy to let it slide.

It's not even clear the DJ can have the excuse of simply mixing up 'Conor' and 'Colin.' In the video, the few seconds silence before he makes the mistake has all the hallmarks of a desperate, last-second google search that didn't quite pay off.
