The Rock won't wrestle at WrestleMania 32 due to insurance issues

The Rock is one of the most iconic wrestlers which WWE fans love to see wrestle, no matter when or where it is.

Many members of the WWE had hoped to see The People's Champion in the ring at WrestleMania 32 next year in Dallas against either Brock Lesnar and Triple H, but that will no longer be the case.

According to Savannah Morning News, via Wrestling News, The Great One will be recording the new Baywatch movie in Savannah, Georgia during March and April next year, which is the same time as the height of WrestleMania season.

While this doesn't rule out any appearance by The Rock at the greatest wrestling show on the planet, it does, however, stop him wrestling competitively at the event, as the Wrestling News article says he will not compete: "due to insurance issues with the production company for this movie".

Members of the WWE will be disappointed to hear this bit of news, as it had been rumored The Rock would face either The Beast or The Game at WrestleMania. Two matches which WWE fans would love to see.

However, the direction of Triple H at the moment points towards a match against Roman Reigns next year due to his recent clashes with the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion at TLC. Lesnar, on the other hand, doesn't have any clear direction for WrestleMania as of writing, as he hasn't appeared on WWE television since the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in October.

Fans will be hoping The Rock still appears at the event next year, obviously just in a non-wrestling role due to insurance purposes.
