It's that time of year again where the road to Wrestlemania begins as we approach the 28th annual Royal Rumble PPV. 30 superstars will do battle to earn the opportunity for a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and main event the Super Bowl of sports entertainment, WrestleMania.
The 2016 Royal Rumble match is looking to be one of the hardest to call in years due to competition within the active roster and the big list of sidelined talent such as Cena, Bryan, Orton and Rollins. However, a superstar being out creates an opportunity for a big return and what better way to mark a comeback, then in the Royal Rumble match.
Here are six potential winners of the match itself.

The Beast Incarnate is the most vicious, powerful superstar in the WWE without doubt and you can only imagine the destruction that will be caused in the rumble if he participates. The 2003 Royal Rumble winner will be looking to get back the title he lost but was never pinned for at Wrestlemania 31 and will destroy anyone who gets in his path. Will the road to Wrestlemania have to make a stop at Suplex city?
Wyatt has had a huge impact in WWE since arriving on the scene, intimidating and tormenting the superstars on the roster, but as talented and crazed as The New Face of Fear is, he has not yet held the WWE World Heavyweight title. However, that could all start to change come January at the Royal Rumble, especially if he has the backing of his demented Wyatt family.
The Lunatic Fringe is a huge talent in the industry and is well liked within the WWE universe, which is why he will have the backing of many going into the rumble. In 2015, Ambrose came very close to winning the Heavyweight title but luck and The Authority were not on his side. A match like the Royal Rumble is the perfect opportunity for a superstar like Ambrose to make a mark and create his own history.
Kevin Owens is like marmite, you either love him or hate him and it's easy to see why. He has a big mouth and likes to talk a lot of trash, but it's nothing he can't back up in the ring. Owens has had a huge debut year entering WWE as NXT champion, challenging and defeating John Cena in his first match and later capturing the Intercontinental Championship. Now, Owens would like to enter his second year in the company by securing a title shot at Wrestlemania. But will it be the Kevin Owens show at the Rumble?

YES! YES! YES!
Could this be the chant that the WWE universe is screaming at the Rumble if Daniel Bryan can make a comeback and steal the show in Florida.
Unfortunately, Bryan has not been lucky with his neck injury resulting in him being out of action for the majority of the last two years. Bryan made history at WrestleMania 30 capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but injury ripped the Gold out his grasp. Bryan would love to regain the championship he never lost and what better opportunity to start than the Royal Rumble.
Currently, Cena is not an active part of the roster and may not even be included in this years match, but I wouldn't be surprised if the leader of the Cenation makes an appearance with ambitions to win yet another Rumble match. Is it possible that John Cena could equal Stone Cold Steve Austin's record of three Royal Rumble victories to then earn him a shot at equalling Rick Flair's record of 16 world championships? Seems like a fairy tale story but when Cena is involved, anything's possible.
These mentioned superstars are not the only ones with a chance of victory at the Amway Center. Superstars like Ziggler, Del Rio, Orton, Rusev, Ryback amongst many others will be looking to be the last man standing, pointing to the WrestleMania sign knowing they've got the shot every WWE superstar craves.
So, who's your favourite to win the Royal Rumble?
