The WWE have been struggling badly lately, with TV ratings currently trending downwards and fans being disenfranchised with the product.
The real problem for the WWE is their lack of a main event protagonist, someone who the fans can completely get behind. Roman Reigns isn't really that guy and it doesn't seem like anyone else on the roster has the ability to get as over as Daniel Bryan was before his injuries.
However, the WWE will be getting one superstar back as John Cena looks set to make his return to the company.

According to a report from Wrestling Inc, the WWE have revealed when and who Cena will be facing upon his return to TV.
"WWE has announced that John Cena will make his return to WWE TV on next Monday's RAW from Brooklyn at the Barclays Center," the report said.
"Cena will be facing WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio, who Cena lost the title to at Hell In a Cell."
Cena has taken time off to film a new TV show for Fox, as well as appearing on several talk shows and promoting the new film he is in, Sisters.
It seems that Cena will be building up for a US Title match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January, assuming that he doesn't win the title back upon his return and enter himself into the rumble match itself.
