Striking the ball with optimum power, Gerrard left Wingrove and Lynch in awe as they watched him do what he does best.

Liverpool fans will no doubt enjoy watching Gerrard in action here:

One of the greats

There's no doubt about it, Gerrard has been one of the greatest players to ply his trade in the Premier League and deserves a great deal of credit for his remarkable career.

A scorer of 120 goals from 504 Premier League outings, Gerrard will forever be remembered as a Liverpool legend. As the Reds go in search of success under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, it will take the club a long time to replace their former captain on the field.
