WWE: Bad News Barrett suffering "pretty serious" neck injury

Football News

The WWE have had a truly terrible time with injuries in 2015, and that's putting it lightly.

Vince McMahon and co. have lost Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, and Cesaro for long periods of time with an assortment of injuries, while Tyson Kidd actually nearly died in the ring after taking a botched musclebuster from Samoa Joe that caused a serious neck/spinal injury.

And now it seems like another WWE star could be out of action for a while after it was revealed that Bad News Barrett has a potentially serious injury.

According to a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, via Wrestling Inc, the 2015 King of the Ring winner is struggling through a neck injury at the moment.

"Regarding King Barrett's status, he's been appearing on WWE TV in segments with the League of Nations but obviously has had a limited role," they stated. "The Observer reports that Barrett's neck injury is said to be pretty serious, but no other details were available."

"Barrett last worked the 16-man elimination match on the December 7th RAW and then the 16-man match at the Tribute to The Troops tapings on December 8th."

Obviously, we have seen him on TV with his new stable, but the Englishman is yet to take any real bumps and has mainly been used in backstage segments beating people up.

However, it looks as though the injury isn't so bad that Barrett needs surgery, and with the current injury list the WWE possesses, they need all the stars they can get on TV so King B will be used as much as he can.
