Fantasy Booking WrestleMania 32

Football News

WrestleMania 32 is set to be the biggest wrestling show in history and WWE will be pulling out all the stops to ensure they fill the AT&T Stadium in Texas. Considering the talent that is set to be on the bench by the time we get there, Creative must be worried (especially considering they aren't even selling out RAW right now).

This is a fantasy booking of the big night. Some of the matches look set to be in the works, others may be speculative at best. What matches would you want to see if you were on the book?

Triple H vs Roman Reigns

This match is looking likely as things stand. You have to feel like The Game is gonna cost him the title between now and 'Mania to put the icing on a strong, lengthy build. Putting an exciting athletic talent like Reigns with a ring general like Triple H is sure to be a phenomenal match and further the argument for Reigns being ready for the long term main event picture.

John Cena vs Dean Ambrose

Where does the title go if not on Reigns? How about we get the Ambrose heel turn that we expected at Survivor Series? How about Cena comes back as the arbiter of justice and teams with Reigns on RAW for several Anti-Authority matches.

That friendship can eventually crumble for a huge Warrior vs Hogan style of match for next year's event. In the meantime, Ambrose surges up the card, Cena puts over another young talent, and both guys have a show-stealing matchup.

Kevin Owens vs Brock Lesnar

This is another match that is already being heavily speculated. Both guys are so volatile it wouldn't take much creativity to convincingly develop animosity. The hard-hitting approach of both guys will be awesome to witness, and the intensity alone would be captivating. The war of words between Owens and Heyman is the final factor that makes this a must-see feud.

Undertaker vs Finn Balor

It looks like Sting won't be wrestling so the great dream match will not take place. This may be a blessing in disguise as it opens the door for what would be a much better bout with a younger star. Perhaps even besting the vigilante for spectacular entrances is the current NXT Champion Finn Balor.

Having your first match against the Undertaker at WrestleMania is a huge risk, but Finn is heavily backed to become one of the biggest stars in the industry. He wouldn't have to win, simply having a great showing would get him over against the bigger, badder Undertaker. This would promise the most captivating entrances in WrestleMania history.

The Wyatt Family vs The League of Nations

I can't be alone in thinking that WWE dropped the ball by not having the group warfare of The Wyatt's vs The Shield at Wrestlemania a few years ago. They can somewhat make up for this with a confrontation that was successfully teased a few weeks ago on RAW. The Wyatt Family could be poised to become monster babyfaces; if management saw them that way.

But it's my fantasy booking, and I do see them that way, so they are the group to dismantle the League of Nations on the grandest stage. The League is just the best case scenarios for guys who would be irrelevant without the group right now. It is also, for the time being, an easy way to get some strong talent involved with the biggest show of the year in a logical fashion.

The New Day vs The Lucha Dragons & Neville

Whether they are still champions or not, The New Day are the perfect foils to showcase the talents of Kalisto and Neville to a worldwide audience. This would be good fun, and once again gets deserving talent on the card.

Dolph Ziggler vs Stardust vs Ryback vs The Miz vs The Usos vs Tyler Breeze vs Samoa Joe

I'd have this as a Money in the Bank ladder match, but that choice is largely a different argument. This is effectively a "best of the rest" match and speaks to how underrated the roster depth is. (How they have been used is a different, more worrying issue). If this is the Andre the Giant Battle Royal lineup you could excuse getting more people involved like The Dudley's, and The Prime Time Players etc.

Charlotte vs Sasha Banks

You have to think Sasha Banks will be vying for the title by the time April rolls around. There is only so much WWE can ignore the chants of the Universe. It doesn't really matter who she faces going in so long as the build is logical and creative. Hoping for another classic like Bayley vs Sasha might be wishful thinking, but something along those lines would be huge for the division.

Paige vs Becky Lynch vs Nikki Bella vs Brie Bella

If the Diva's Revolution is going to even be a thing anymore, then expect two Divas matches on the card. I wouldn't be surprised to see something along the lines of a Diva's Royal Rumble instead which could be OK, but this match would be a way to wrap up the dreadful first chapter of the Revolution and help create a clear hierarchy and story arc. WrestleMania can often signal a fresh start for the writers and that is certainly needed in this case.

This card would look very different if you can bank on the likes of Cesaro, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Sting, The Rock, and even Ronda Rousey being around. WWE can't wait around for Lesnar and Cena to save the day; they must start immediately preparing the audience for the storylines they want to see.

TLC was a step in the right direction and now the huge pressure will be on the Royal Rumble. As usual, the booking will be under the unforgiving microscope of the WWE Universe for the weeks and months to come.
