Arsenal fans are loving playmaker Mesut Ozil right now. The German international has been in remarkable form for the Gunners, racking up assist-after-assist throughout the course of the campaign so far.

In fact, with 15 assists and two goals to his name, the former Real Madrid man has been the catalyst to Arsenal's early-season title challenge.

However, it appears that it's not only the Arsenal faithful loving Ozil at the moment. Samir Nasri, formerly of the Gunners, appears to be a fan of the classy midfielder.

In fact, as you can see in the video below, Nasri appeared to express his love for Ozil in the Emirates tunnel as Arsenal played host to Manchester City on Monday evening.

Ozil, who (obviously) provided the two assists for the two Arsenal goals in the victory for the Gunners, appeared to ignore the Manchester City ace.

With Nasri's history at Arsenal, the Emirates faithful will quite enjoy the snub...

Ozil the man

Ultimately, then, Ozil really can take Arsenal above and beyond this season. He's on fire right now and isn't showing signs of slowing down in pursuit of success in north London.

There's no doubt about it, this season represents the club's best opportunity to reclaim the Premier League title that has long deserted them. Arsenal fans will be hoping to see the technically gifted Ozil produce the goods once again this evening against Southampton.

Will Ozil inspire Arsenal to title success? Have your say below!
