Reason several superstars were missing from RAW

The WWE is facing a real problem, the ratings for Monday Night RAW have been decreasing in recent weeks.

That poses a very real problem for the company and despite some highly rated episodes of RAW recently, they still need to do everything they can to keep people tuning in.

Not the smartest move?

This week's episode was opened by an incredible segment in which Roman Reigns watched Mr McMahon get arrested.

It was a very bold move to open the show with a storyline straight out of the Attitude era, but it was all just to try and cover another bold move.

Heavily promoting the return of John Cena and Mr McMahon to RAW was also the companies way of hiding the absence of many other big name superstars.

It was confirmed earlier on in the day that WWE Diva's Champion Charlotte would not be at the show in Brooklyn.

Charlotte wasn't only name missing from the final episode of RAW in 2015.

Tyler Breeze, Paige, The Wyatt Family, Kane, Dolph Ziggler, the Dudley Boyz and Tommy Dreamer were all absent from RAW tonight.

Of course there was no mention of the missing stars on RAW, but the reason for their absence was due to a prior commitment.

While RAW was taking place in Brooklyn, New York, a WWE live event was also taking place in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Two shows, different locations on the same night meant that talent had to be split but it was quite a bold choice by the company.

Not only taking some of their biggest names away, but also cutting the numbers of people who have otherwise been watching RAW.

Bold move or not, it will be the same for Smackdown this week too and we can only hope that the stars are back next week.
