Nicolas Otamendi guilty of world's worst dive against Leicester City

It's hard to keep track of all Manchester City's new signings. Every season, there are plenty of new faces to get used to at the Etihad and the current campaign was no exception.

Most fans have kept their eye on big-money signings Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Brunye, but Nicolas Otamendi has gone about his business in defence impressively. Not only is he obviously a good defender, but he is built like a brick house.

However, following the 0-0 stalemate with Leicester City on Tuesday night, the Argentinian has suffered some serious damage to his reputation. Indeed, after his antics at the King Power Stadium it is likely he will never be invited back to wherever the manly men hang out.

With the game coming to a close, Otamendi attempted to pull a fast one on the referee by appearing to go down like a led balloon after...umm...a coming together with opposing defender Robert Huth.

Of course, there was no actual coming together. Huth's hand merely grazed Otamendi's face, but it was enough to knock the former Valencia star to the floor in apparent agony.

With TV camera's everywhere, it became clear what was happening very quickly.

It's a terrific shame, as it was probably his best performance in a Manchester City shirt to date. No one will remember his 14 clearances, nine aerial victories and four interceptions now.

Oh dear, Nicolas.
