Manchester United loanee James Wilson caused quite a stir on social media on Friday after footage emerged of him being sick before Brighton's game with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With New Year's celebrations still fresh in many people's minds, Wilson's appearance led many to believe he had partied a little too hard.

Sporting a deep pair of black bags under his jaded eyes, the young striker wouldn't have looked out of place on a Sunday League pitch.

With the Sky Sports cameras firmly fixed on the 20-year-old, he was helpless to stop himself vomiting as a stream of pink bile left his mouth.

Warning: the video doesn't make pleasant viewing.

While many people on Twitter were quick to suggest the England youth star was "regretting those Sambucas at midnight" or that he had " a few beers last night", he looked in a very bad way throughout the afternoon.

Wilson has undoubted talent at his disposal and is tipped to have a bright future at Manchester United.

His spell at Brighton is seen as a major learning curve in his development and he will be hoping to fire himself into contention at Old Trafford.

Despite making a bright start to life on the south coast - scoring two in his first three appearances - he has gone four games without a goal. A run that has coincided with Brighton's slide from top to fourth in the table.

Although, there are still sections of United's support that believe the youngster could do a job for Van Gaal's side during these testing times.
