Jimmy Butler scores 42 points in one half to beat Michael Jordan Bulls record

Published 1 Comments

He may be considered by many to be the greatest basketballer of all time, but Michael Jordan no longer holds the franchise record for the most points scored in a half with the Chicago Bulls. Jimmy Butler netted 42 points during the Bulls’ win over Toronto yesterday, eclipsing the record 39 points notched by Jordan back in 1988. Having only scored two points in the first half, Butler completely quite the turnaround in the second. He told people afterwards not to compare him to Jordan. Elsewhere, Brooklyn Nets guard Jarrett Jack is set to miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and small medial meniscus in his right knee. Reports claim Jack will be out for the foreseeable future, with surgery an obvious requirement. As of yet there’s been no date pencilled with regards to when that will happen.
