Eight superstars most likely to depart WWE this year

It's the start of a brand new year for WWE and it seems that many superstars are lucky to have made it this far as WWE employees.

Now, every year it seems the WWE has a clear out as a way to bring in new talent and lighten the wage bill for The Company, past years have seen the likes of Aksana and Brodus Clay face the axe and it seems a few more could be set to endure the same fate this year.

What has happened to Fandango? From dancing his way into the main roster debut and defeating Chris Jericho at his first WrestleMania, Fandango has faded into the background whilst his dancer Summer Rae has continued to rise in WWE. Is there any way WWE could bring him back? Or could he be set for an unfortunate phone call in a few months time?

The Rose Bush was a great concept for WWE to come up with but it seems they have grown tired of that quite quickly. Since Rose dropped his party gimmick, he has nothing left to go on and it doesn't seem like WWE are in any hurry to give the former NXT Superstar any TV time. What can he do to become relevant again? Does he need to find The Bunny?

Jack was recalled to the forefront of the United States Championship picture a few weeks ago because WWE had quite simply ran out of wrestlers because of the amount of superstars currently on the injured list. Swagger then failed to capture the title and has since gone back to a life of obscurity, why isn't the All-American booked better?

"All you have to do is Bo-Lieve" has now become the butt of every joke, whenever the WWE Universe hear Bo Dallas's music they know he is about to get beaten down. Bo's last decent feud was against Neville, in NXT. Considering WWE are slowly ruining his brother Bray's career, it makes sense that they have no idea how to book Bo. The poor guy would have been better off staying in NXT.

The Intellectual Saviour of the masses! Where did it all go wrong for the former Mr Money in the Bank? From having a World Championship match with John Cena to being The Miz's stunt double and teaming up with Curtis Axel to be the new MegaPowers. Sandow really has had a rough ride in WWE. What more can WWE do to him? They already had him dress up as a hated person in every city they visited, just to put a particular face over. Maybe the time has come for Sandow to move on?

As his former tag team partner above, the son of Mr Perfect has had a less than perfect WWE career. The Former Intercontinental Champion was once under the wing of Paul Heyman and now the best storyline he has is that he was never eliminated from the Royal Rumble, because he was never actually in it. He was taken out before he stepped foot in the ring so it is a hard storyline to follow. After this year's Rumble Axel will have ended this angle, so where next? Another promotion?

The World's Strongest Man, in 2002, but still he has the same gimmick from over a decade ago and still WWE seem to think it's relevant. Henry is not in peak physical shape anymore and he can't wrestle the same way he used to. It's horrific nowadays being forced to endure a match that includes him and WWE need to understand this, Henry needs his P45, and soon.

Let's be honest, when was the last time Los Matadores were used in a match that wasn't to just make up the numbers? WWE was never going to give them the Tag Team Championships and their gimmick got really stale, really fast. They haven't been used on WWE TV for a long time and it would be harsh to think that Primo and Epico could survive another repackaging, plus, if they're going then El Torito will have to join them in the Job Centre queue.

WWE are wasting a lot of talent by keeping them under contract when they have no intentions of using them. There are many superstars who could make names for themselves in Independent promotions instead, and there are many who simply need to understand that it is time to hang up their boots.
