Klopp on potential transfer

With injuries raining down upon Liverpool like the harshest of monsoons, it’s no wonder Jurgen Klopp has admitted he may have to seek shelter in the transfer market.

Many Reds fans will appreciate the idea, naturally, with Klopp having confirmed that he might have to look at buying in new faces to cover his losses.

The German mentioned the centre-back area, in particular, stating that with the likes of Mamadou Sakho and Martin Skrtel missing there might be no option but to buy in talent.

"In this moment with no centre-back fit I would say it is a situation where we have to think about going into the transfer market," he said.

"Two weeks ago we had three centre-backs, that's a good situation, at the start of the season we had five, now we have none."

Lallana defends Klopp training

To finish us off, Adam Lallana has defended Klopp in the midst of Liverpool’s aforementioned injury crisis, insisting the German’s training methods are not to blame.

With the Reds’ first-team squad having been decimated by fitness problems questions are naturally being asked over what lies at the root of the issues.

Lallana, however, puts the recent woes purely down to bad luck, stating that Liverpool have a ‘world-class medical team’. He did admit, though, that losing Philippe Coutinho and Dejan Lovren was a big blow.
