Gerard Houllier and the Liverpool legends are currently in Australia ahead of their charity game with an Australian legends team on January 7.

Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, John Arne Riise and Ian Rush are all involved in the squad that is packed full of Anfield's finest.

Ahead of the game at the ANZ stadium in Sydney, Houllier held a team meeting and the funny affair was posted on the club's official Twitter account. Scroll down to see the video.

Meetings are usually a chance for managers to go over their tactics for the upcoming match and tell the players, in no uncertain terms, exactly what is expected of them.

However, given the nature of this game, it was an opportunity for Houllier to show his lighter side.

The Frenchman, who was in charge at Anfield for six years, was in a relaxed mood and assured the players there would be no food restrictions imposed or a curfew on bedtime.

He also ensured every player would get on the pitch while also having a cheeky dig at former striker Robbie Fowler.

The game will see Gerrard play a match in a Liverpool shirt for the first time since his move to LA Galaxy in the summer. The 35-year-old will also pull on the captain's armband once again.

Gerrard appeared to find the MLS more difficult than imagined and failed to have the impact many, himself included, would have wanted.

However, the midfielder has been training with Liverpool during the MLS off-season and is looking in great shape ahead of his second season in Los Angeles.
