An intrepid Newcastle United fan has pulled out all the stops in an attempt to lure Premier League record-breaker Jamie Vardy to St James’ Park.
The 28-year-old is something approaching January transfer window hot property with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United both linked with moves for the former non-league star, according to Sky Sports.
However one Magpies supporter is evidently keen to convince Vardy that Newcastle is the club for him, despite the Toon’s current relegation woes.

What else could explain a tweet from Vardy’s fiancé, who revealed that an unnamed fan of the club actually left a Newcastle shirt outside the couple’s house.
Whether that will be enough to convince the England international to swap a Champions League qualification battle for a relegation dogfight is another matter.
However, we must applaud the fan’s audacity as the Magpies gear up for a potentially critical month in the transfer market.
Newcastle have made no secret of the fact they are in the market for a striker with Queens Park Rangers forward Charlie Austin previously linked with a move.
There are also reports emerging from L'Equipe in France claiming the northeast side have made a bid for highly-rated Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette.
A France international who has impressed in Ligue 1 over the past couple of seasons, Newcastle are long time admirers of Lacazette’s talents but could face a similarly uphill task in convincing the forward to move to St James' Park.
Vardy, meanwhile, will most likely be focusing on Leicester or alternatively, a move to a club with Champions League ambitions.
All this from a player who, just a few seasons ago, was impressing in the non-league game.
