Gary Neville was such a good pundit for Sky Sports, it seemed inevitable that he would eventually succeed in management.

However, the Manchester United legend is quickly finding out just how different the dressing room is from the television studio.

Fans across the continent were left both shocked and excited by the news that Neville had taken charge of Valencia on a temporary basis in December, even though it would mean he could no longer appear on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.

It seemed a perfect chance for Neville to prove himself with some even tipping him to bag the England job once his six-month contract in La Liga expired. But just a few games down the line and the England hot seat looks further away than ever.

He has already admitted that management is not his long-term career path in what was considered a strong suggestion that he isn't enjoying his time in Spain. Valencia are now in a worse position in La Liga when Neville took over on December 2 and Neville is still looking for his first win in the Spanish top flight.

Another defeat

Today, they had a good opportunity to get their first win in seven games as they travelled to Real Sociedad, but they were turned over in a dominant 2-0 win.

Neville immediately started trending on Twitter with many outlets suggesting he will back on Sky Sports before the season is out. You can take a look at some of the best reaction below.
