Brazil international Neymar has revealed that he has a 'brilliant dream' to be alongside Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at next year's Ballon d'Or ceremony.

Messi, of course, secured the 2015 Ballon d'Or while Cristiano Ronaldo ended in second position.

Neymar, then, had to settle for third place while Suarez failed to take to the podium despite a glorious year with Barcelona.

But Suarez will certainly be hoping to go one better in 2016 as he goes in search of another successful campaign with the Catalans.

Neymar, too, will be hoping to come to prominence, but he's certainly not jealous of Messi after Monday's ceremony. In fact, as you can see in the video below, Neymar has claimed that Messi isn't human.

There's still Ronaldo

Ultimately, Neymar, Suarez and Messi really could take to the podium in 2016. They are three of the leading players in world football and they have all the credentials to prove themselves once again over the coming months.

But there's still Ronaldo to contend with. At 30-years-old, the Portuguese ace may well be approaching the latter stages of his career, but he's still a remarkable player and doesn't appear to be slowing down. The Real Madrid man shouldn't be written off just yet.
